Covid-19 Testing at M.E.
LKSD schools will be conducting optional screening COVID-19 testing for staff and students on a weekly to bi-weekly basis. Screening testing is intended to identify infected asymptomatic individuals who may be contagious so that measures can be taken to prevent further transmission. Asymptomatic testing is an additional safety measure that schools will use to identify individuals who are infected with COVID-19 but are not showing symptoms. Screening testing can identify cases early and can minimize secondary transmission.
LKSD encourages all students and staff to participate in routine screening testing. In order to do so, please complete the form that has been sent home with your student.
Testing at M.E. will take place on Tuesdays starting at 9 am. Parents will be notified if their child tests positive. No news is good news; you will not be notified of a test result unless it's positive.
